The October Town council meeting was held on October 18,2017.
Minutes from the previous meeting were approved.
Terry Tilley mentioned that the Town dump truck had a problem with the rear end gears, and would have it looked at and repaired as needed.
Tilley reported that the Fire Department plans had been submitted to USDA for their approval. Once they are approved by USDA the Town may advertise for bids to renovate the old Food Lion building into a proper Fire Department building. The space designated for the college will be included in the bidding package and will be fast tracked for completion.
The council voted to go into closed session to discuss an employment matter for the Town.
Once the council came out of closed session there was no further discussion for the meeting. The council voted to pay the bills and then adjourn.
